Biography

Navin R. Bora is a seasoned patent attorney with over a decade of experience in patent prosecution, portfolio strategy, and intellectual property (IP)  counseling. He holds a Master of Science in Physiology and Pharmacology from the University of Florida, a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in Chemical Engineering, and a JD from the Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology. Navin is also the sole inventor on two U.S. patents.

Navin has drafted more than 230 non-provisional patent applications and over 200 responses to Office Actions before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. His practice also includes preparing patentability and non-infringement (clearance) opinions across diverse technologies, including small molecule therapeutics, biologics, organic chemistry, pharmacology, surgical devices, and inhalants. Beyond life sciences and pharmaceuticals, Navin has extensive experience in other advanced technologies such as batteries, materials science, all aspects of mechanical and chemical engineering, semiconductor fabrication and processing, and computer software, including topics in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). He has prepared and prosecuted over 100 patent applications in the field of lithium-sulfur and solid-state batteries and is also familiar with lithium-air, sodium-ion, zinc-based, and flow battery chemistries.

Navin also supports IP litigation matters, including pharmaceutical and biologics disputes. His experience spans ANDA/Hatch-Waxman and BPCIA matters, legal research, motion and brief drafting, discovery preparation, and assistance with depositions.
